After bad luck with cars over the last 4 - 5 years and spending hours stuck on the side of the road I have become extremely paranoid when travelling.
I just got myself a 2005 318i BMW and have started to notice a few things...
1) There is a slight hesitation or cut in the power when accelerating. It doesn't happen all the time and I cant always re-create it. I have found it happens in 3rd gear near 3000 revs. It feels almost like the traction control kicking in but the light on the dashboard doesn't come up - any ideas?
2) Another thing I have noticed is when travelling at speeds higher than 100km/h when I take my foot off the accelerator there is a noise coming from the engine (sounds something like a car with a hole in the exhaust) - anyone had this before or got an idea?
Before I travel on holiday in a few weeks I will be looking to take my car in for diagnostics test and general check over to make sure I will not find myself sitting amongst the daises washing cars go by :argh:
