Hi there
Im new to this forum and really need your help.
I bought a 2004 BMW 318i Facelift Manual about 2 weeks ago. Excellent condition with low milage (128k), full service history and spare keys.
Presently, my power steering fluid is leaking at the moment, due to ware and the age of the car, I need to replace the pipes for the power steering which im getting done this week.
My main problem is when the car has warmed up to normal, while driving the engine just dies off. This only happens once the car has warmed up to normal. The car is not overheating. So when the engine dies off, I have to pull over to the side. When I try starting the car, it swings but refuses to start. I have to wait around 10 to 15 minutes and then the car starts up perfectly and drives off as normal. The problem continues there after for every short distance.
Please do note when the car switches off, there are no warning lights or such that appears on the dash. After 10 to 15 minutes when I start up, no warning lights or such appear to say that there is a fault.
Did anyone experience this fault before? And how to sort this fault out?
Please help as I do long distance travelling and I need the car to be sorted out.
Thanks in advance :ty:
