good evening everyone

I hope you are all fine, í need help I am stuck on the side of the road my car started showing the sign of a battery which disappeared, later on when I started it, the same light appeared this time it did not go off. While driving the radio went off, then all the other signs of tyre pressure, brakes, DSC started appearing, the lost power and finally died. Anyone can advise what problem could be and roughly how much this will cost.

urgently please still waiting for tow truck

Are you able to switch on ignition or does the car act as if the battery is flat?

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

I had a similar experience in an E39 in the early 2000's, though the car did not completely die on me. The dash just lit up like a Xmas tree, which seems similar to what you described.
Turned out to be a faulty alternator.
Have both the battery tested.
Perhaps you're "lucky" and it's just the battery that's dying.

My best guess, with the info supplied.

Yea that is what I was alluding to - faulty alternator and then the battery went flat.

it switches on but act as though battery is flat,

Chances are your alternator packed up. You'll either need to buy a new one or have your existing on reconditioned.

Unfortunately females are often taken advantage of, so get a few opinions on the matter first before committing to a specific route for repair.

thank you so much, how much roughly this will cost so that I can prepare myself not to be taken for a ride?

The best advice i can give right now is to ask others on here for a trust worthy mechanic in your area that can advise you on this. Please state what area you are in and hopefully some other can chime in on who to take it to.

Have the battery checked out first before blaming the alternator. If it's the alternator I'm willing to bet it's the regulator or armature brushes.

Hope you were able to come right! Does seem to either be an alternator or battery related issue, and with it being winter, this is typically when batteries tend to die. So I would have that tested to be sure before looking at the alternator.
