E39 touring - Air suspension

Hi guys

I need to replace the rear air suspension on the touring. It finally gave up after having a leak since I got it.

BMW price was about 5k a side last I checked :RedNo:

Do any of you know of any other local places that wont charge a kidney?
The other option is ebay/online - can get both sides for about 5k landed.
but would prefer to get a local if I can.

part numbers are: 37121095081 and 37121095082
this is for touring models with self leveling sport suspension

the part numbers for the non sport are: 37121094613 and 37121094614
While not ideal, it will also work. From reading the spring rates are slightly different as well as the height, but the system will auto adjust to the correct height.

Any leads will be helpful.
thanks

bag it..

Is it not cheaper to get a aftermarket air suspension kit locally?
um well its already technically bagged at the rear
can be adjusted via inpa or one of the others to a lower ride height
Just need to replace the existing perished bag that is leaking
I think an aftermarket kit will need more parts so will end up probably being more expensive

If anything needs bags it would be the front :coolShake:

What model/year tourings came out with air suspension?

I think most of the euro spec e39 tourings have rear air suspension in either sport or non sport suspensions.

aftermarket air spring system will cost more than a direct replacement... I can get Arnott air uprated air springs for anyone who is interested :)
