E39 new rims

So it looks like my rims are the cause of my vibration. After sending them in twice for straightening and replacing 2 tires, I have decided to just buy new ones

What rims would look nice on a white e39 touring?

I want to stick to 16's as my tires are still new and would prefer a brand name like Tsw

Thanks

Rims other than the OEM sets aren't too easy to find AFAIK... The E39 has a strange hub size. Chat to Ralf@Speedway, if I recall correctly he had a set of E39 wheels for sale

howsit.

do not put anything tsw on your car.

you might even get more vibrations.

the oem bmw wheels (manufactured by co's like bbs and ronal etc)
are much stronger wheels.

you should be able to pick up some wheels for nexto nothing.

Why don't you go for a set of 17 inch? It probably is cheaper to replace tyres in the long run. My old 16 inch were more expensive than 17s!

The BBS style 5 would look great! A-line Scorpion makes a rep of this mag.

Google BMW Style 5 wheels.

I got a set of OEM E39 Style 32's (17x8J ET20 and 17x9J ET26) here I willing to get rid of, pm me if interested. They are from a E39 540i.

Some examples.

I have a set of TSW 17" Spa's on my E46 330i. They have been absolutely great! Very durable, have not buckled or bent after two years, the paintwork has held up well and besides being slightly heavier than OEM's, they've been great value for money.

Unfortunately wheels that fit on a 3series won't fit on a E39 for 2 reasons, the hub bore diameter of the 3 series is 72.5mm, the E39 uses a 74.1mm hub bore diameter. The other reason is offset as 3series is around 35-40mm offset, whereas the E39 needs 20-26mm offset.

To be pedantic...E39 hub size is actually 74.1mm:=):

Just to update, I got a set of m sport rims from an e39...vibration seems to be gone now, but I think I might need to do something on the rear suspension as it doesn't feel 100%
