hey all,if my car has been driven say for about and hour and i start driving slowly or go over a bump there is this weird clunking sound that seems to becoming from the 2 front wheels.its not the brakes because they have been done recently and it was doing this before the car went in for the brakes.

what could this be,guys overseas reckon it could be numerous things.

upper control arm
lower control arm
tie rod ends
steering rack

any thoughts

It's the remains of the ST stuck to the front wheel after you destroyed it.:spit:

Sorry for my pointless reply SS, but I don't have anything constructive to add.
I do hope you find that noise soon.

I was told exactly the same thing a few weeks ago by BMW and "another" suspension specialist in Midrand. Took the car to Tunetech and they managed to replace the bushes only - problem sorted.

If you don't mind me asking, what did they charge you, I know there's a Tunetech in Bloem aswell.

Have they done any other work on your car & what did they charge?

Replacing bushes is no joke. You need specialist tools or lot of time and a blowtorch and chislles.

With the tool it is easy. Going to tunetech 2morrow. have them check whats wrong with my clunking sound. (I suspect diff or propshaft but can be read diff bushes or rear arm bushes as well.
