E39 M5 Book Value

Hi guys, not sure who to ask...trying to insure an e39 M5 but they don’t have the car on their system and the bmw dealership I called also can’t put a value on it. Anyone know the book value? Thanks

The dealership salesmen should be able to help. They've got a book with values of all BMW's...going back for at least 20 years.

Issue is that It’s a private sale so can’t get the value there. It’s a 2001 model.

You can still take the car to a dealer for a valuation. If the car is clean, you could probably get an above-book valuation and then you can insure the car at agreed value.

I’d recommend a BMW dealership. But to be honest, there should be a book value available for an m5... but expect it to be low

For exceptional condition older cars I have heard of people getting appraisals done by BMW Club of SA in order to give the insurance a fair value on the car.

Call BMW dealer and ask the Used Car Sales Manager for the book value.

Insurance is just not looking hard enough.

Sometimes they have a unique identifier that they use. The MCoupe was the same story until i went onto Santams website and found it myself.

Mine is at R151,000 for a 2002.

Retail Value 127100.00
