E39 double din radio

Have any of you fitted a double din in your car?

I have read that the heater box is a problem?

I have been looking for touchscreen android radio, so far can only find ones that run on win ce. You can actually see it has a funny shape from the side if u Google it, no doubt for the heater box or whatever it is there.

What are looking at fitting?

I bought a used Telefunken one...it has GPS, DVD, etc and was for a fair price...but I only started reading up on fitment after that...
