E39 centre console cubby

So stupid question for the day. I have the centre console with a phone... is there a cubby under it and I just cannot open it? This question has been driving me crazy. As well as the fact that my elbow keeps on popping up the phone out the rest...

Nope. No cubby. The armrest area can slide forward a bit though. But no storage space.

OK, now I can stop looking for hidden levers. And my wife can rest assured the her X5 is better than the M5 because her armrest has a cubby!!:blab:
