E39 Brake light switch recall information

So I had an issue with my brake light switch on my 540/6.

Turns out I had the switch that was part of a recall that was never done on my car.

So a google, short call to BMW and the shock as they told me the price.

More google to find this.

And then the picture of the two next to one another. Note I didn't pay dealer price and found one close to my work in another car. . .
