:clapper: Looks clean and no vanos to go wrong.:chef:

Eh? How do can you tell? Teach me master!
Fordkoppie and Sank...:roflol:

Vuk, I just look at the throttle body, Aluminium pipe to it still uses a throttle cable (non vanos) with traction and cruise control actuators sitting on the passenger side of the engine bay.
Plastic pipe to it uses drive-by-wire throttle body (TU vanos) which has traction and cruise control built into the electronic throttle body.

Also non vanos has the air cooled alternator, TU vanos has the water cooled alternator.

Sorry, is that 2 oil caps on the motor :dropjaw:

It requires 2 oil changes at a time:roflol:

Pour it in on the one side, drain, and re fill on the other side.

It actually has two drain plugs on the sump.

You have to fill the two halves of the engine with exactly the same amount of oil else you will damage the engine.

*The left is actually the filler cap the right is the remote battery terminal*

damn you guys are crazy.......

I was lightly informed that it one is a oil fill cap and the other one is a battery terminal connection, :smashScreen: simple me for not looking :roflol:

Hi there guys,

Im quite interested in this car (my unicorn car)
Sat in one from Bloem to Durbs in my lytie days was my dads bosses car. He did in 3.5 hours. I was hooked from that day.

What's the reasonable offer to make on this car? Is it a good buy? Im never afraid of maintaining a car.

It's a good buy but far too pricey.

You can get a higher mileage but newer one for like 35k to 60k.

If I wanted it I would offer 70k due to the lower mileage.

I phoned the seller.

Good luck making an offer of R70k. He told me he doesn't have to sell the car and has had offers around the R95k mark that he has rejected.

Could be brave talk on his part but it strikes me that he's one of those guys who will just hold on to the car if he doesn't get his price.

GLWTO though:=): Keep us posted.

I'm afraid he will have to change
this: Re-advertising due to time wasters
to this: Re-advertised due to high price, and not accepting any offers.

For this alone I would track down and buy your Dad's bosses car rather :roflol:.... that's an average speed of 180 km/h. Impressive

Boet on that particular day I never stopped smiling. My dad was also very privileged to be the only other driver of that vehicle. Ever so often his boss would allow him to take the car home just for him to take me for a ride. He knew I loved it. Good memories that.

That's why I say a collector would pay this price if he really wanted it.

Even the seller does sell it at a lower price we would never never know. His pride will be at stake :hammerhead:

But damn what a car!
