Seriously, who gives a rat's ass. Its his car, let him do what he wants.

I drift and do more serious shit than that to my cars. Including my ///M cars.

They have never suffered any mechanical failure due to it either.

And here gool 'ol captain mis-perception rears it ugly head. You could service the car every day after driving it, it still will not make up for an abusive driving style, or driving style that pushes the mechanical parts right up to or past their designed limits. Servicing is really the absolute bare minimum that you have to do on a car, understanding of the mechanical operation and mechanical sympathy for said mechanical operation counts for a lot more.

Burn to your heart's content! Just don't attempt a 360 in that 'kerby' narrow road! :=):

I once met a guy who was spinning this extremely neat 325iS. I asked him why would you spin such a neat example and his reply was "did you see what the guys do with lambos, ferrari's and all the other supercars on top gear?, so I would rather spin a car worth 150k than a few million!"

Well my take on this is that's its your car and you should enjoy it!

Here we go again. It's a machine. It's there to be enjoyed. It didn't break. If it breaks, it can be fixed. Never mind the condescending attitude from the "mechanically sensitive" dudes. It's a V8 BMW, not a Deusenberg.

Enjoy your car Bud, unless others are paying for your tyres or repairs, I wouldn't care, although be careful!

Sheeet, I would not, but it is your car and if you can afford the maintenance, then have your fun.

Where's the rest of the video, the bit where you released the brake and snaked down the street?

Those cars on Top Gear are press cars, which means they are treated somewhat worse than rentals. When its your own car its a different story.
