E39 530D 2002 Starting problem

Hi Guys

Starting problem with our E39 530D 2002

We have checked the following :
-Cam and crank sensors
-fuel lines and Pump
-Battery

The BMW also then only starts up when Quick start has been sprayed into the inlet manifold

What your opinions ?

Wont be glowplugs. Especially not in Summer Time

Yeah glowplugs are fine ...

Codes that was given previously :

= Rail pressure monitoring on engine start
=Exhaust- gas re-circulation or exhaust re-circulation controller

Sounds more fuel delivery related.
Is there fuel on the rails? Injectors working fine?


Don't over do the quick start thingy. I've heard is burns off the oil layer on the bore causing wear...
