Just thought I'd share this with you guys, don't know if there are any similar threads.

Cruise control on @ 180 km/h, motor running @ 3700 rpm, fuel consumption just under 12 km/l.

Keep in mind this car has 368 000 km's on and still running strong not even skipping a beat ONCE!! Uses NO oil between service intervals and not a puff of smoke either!!

BMW ROCKS!!!! :praise::thumbs:

I can relate to this! I LOVE THE 528i E39!

Is yours a manual? I have a manual. I am a family guy and my little girls won't let me part with this car! Each time we test drive another car, they beg me to keep our old BMW!

What a car! :rollsmile:

I was also looking into buying the 530d, how many k's does yours have on?

These beemers are built for the long road!! You can feel them come alive when your on the open road! These machines rack up the kilometers like nothing!!

True to bmw's word - The ultimate driving experience!!

Had a chat with a bmw salesman the other day whilst buying parts for my next service, he recons he has traded in a E39 530 @ 980 000km's!!

What do you guys recon? Is this possible with these cars?

Your car still has a long way to go!!

I agree, when on the highway I feel that 140 km/h is the cruising spot in stead of 120. I've also noticed that I get better fuel economy @ 140:thumbs:

I guess if you take really good care of any machine it would out last yourself!!

Thumbs up to your auntie for getting that mileage lol, If you can get that out of a Jetta, I'm sure you can get better out of these beemers!!:thumbs:

Thought I'd share this!!

A Volvo with nearly 3 000 000 MILES!! WTF lol :praise:
