E39 528 AUTO

Hi guys sold my e36 323 and got me a 528 e39 '98 auto, very impressed goes well and fuel consumption on open road is around 7.5 at 120/130 "with speedo cruse" in town ...well no comment . my question is this : how can I improve the performance ? I am not complaining too much however one never has enough power. I have been told to do a ecu up grade chip,a filter replacement as well as exhaust, can anyone point me to someone who knows or has done this before. Lastly I see that some e39's came out with very stylish radio's with built in gps etc does anyone know where I can get a price on one even if its second hand. Thanks Gary

Pretty much if the car did not come with the GPS/TV headunit, you might as well sell it and buy one with it in, it'll be cheaper. Same for the power, another filter will do nothing for power, but wonders for engine wear (it will speed wear up orders of magnitude). Chip is possible, but advantages in a N/A car is usually quite low. Best is just to remove the catalytic converters, which are way past their design life by now.
