Hey guys
My father in law is stuck down in kzn with is wagon. Its a 525i and he described something very weird to me so I'm turning to you guys for help.
Apparently the gearbox light comes on and the car doesn't want to start. Then if he turns it off and locks unlocks he can start but then it would stay in limp mode. Now that could have been the gearbox but it only has 150 000 km on the clock and is showing some other odd electrical faults as well. Small things like the fuel gauge doesn't work and the radio doesn't turn off or on with ignition. This can be an electrical gremlin right? Might these to have anything to do with each other or two different problems at the same time?
In any case he is looking for someone that might be able to help him. He is close to Stanger with the car and obviously it would be easier if someone nearby can help. Are there any BMW specialists in that area that anybody knows about?
