E36 Window Mechanism

Is the front window mechanisms on the E36 4 door the same as the back ones ?

I would hazard a guess, that certain components common to both might be the actual motor, some guides circlips wiring plugs etc might be interchangeable

but the physical mechanism would be different, due to a smaller sized piece of glass, including runners, guides etc
