E36 Window alignment issues

Hi all, i am having some problems aligning the window on the left front door after replacing the mechanism..... i cannot seem to get it right, does anyone know of a trick or some adjustment that i am missing....

i know its a bit of a long shot.... :cry:

I presume the window when closing seems to go out of the railing....

If so then you didn't put the front of the window into the railing, do this by dropping the window to the lowest or fully open and then guide the front of the window into the guardrail and then close it.

is there no other adjustments for the rails... i am sure i put it in both sides... i can close it fully but after a few tries of up and down it goes crazy....

Look at where you tightened the window to the regulator railing with the screws, the problem should be there, maybe they loosen over time.
