Hi guys, once again i need you rexpertise...

I want to put an E36 intake and throttle body system on my e36 325i. Would i need to change my management system or will the standard one be able to be tuned? If i do change management, what would be the best?

What other mods are you planning to do together with the this?

If just the e36 M3 throttles I doubt you would need to change the management since it will make almost no difference output wise, throttle response should be slightly better though.

Its hard work putting on M3 throttle bodies-you will need an adaptor plate and even then the injectors will fire at the wrong angle-You may end up losing HP due to the inefficiency of this set-up

im going to to put cams in too, with a head job, port and polish with bigger valves. going to put in a modified 325is clutch as well. i think its 294 degree cams. All the fabrication and modificatin on the items im intalling will be done by my mechanic.

How much is all this going to cost you?Would it not be cheaper to drop in an M3 lump?

also where are the cams from?
Or are they shrick cams?

or other aftermarket ones?

shrick cams, i was quoted for the entire job, without standalone management, 26k. worth it?

I am not up on prices over there but here I could drop in an M3 engine and have change to spare from 26k.......M3 engines may be a lot more money there though.

328i motor R10k or so straight fit to gbox , fit 325i inlet manifold to 328i engine , ecu chip and dyno , branch and exhaust , say R10k for all this . Throw the 325i motor away !! - too expensive to mod it !! I drive an e36 325i so I know the motor .

Or do like i did.
325- block, intake manifold, auto diff
328 - crank, pistons, rods, head incl cams and all the rest, branches
M coupe- 5 speed gearbox with short shift
aftermarket- chip, branch, zorst
:thumb:

Note: can't give you a true indication of cost as i had the 328 motor already.
