E36 Shift Lever replacement

Any of u know if the Z4 M shift lever would fit the E36 M3 6 Speed,

I read on some forums that the Z3 one works but apparently, the Z4 M is somewhat shorter ??

I got it for R762 incul vat (20% discount) though it took two weeks to arrive an that was last month. Got it installed today will do a bit of testing
