Hey guys,

So i have been wanting to change my rim for a while on my E36 vert. I was thinking of the 18" motorsport wheel.

would i need to roll my fenders? can i have 40mm springs with the 18'?

It's usually the rear arches that needs rolling if you go to wide with the tyres, fenders will be ok.

With 225/40/18 Tyres fronts and back you'll be good.

Anything wider than that and you will need to roll them arches at the back.

I've had 255/35/18 at the back and were forced to roll my arches, but now I have a narrower rim with 235/40/18, with a 8mm spacer and I'm all clear, and I have coilovers fitted.

Thanks Pri. I've fitted Maxtrac coilovers over a year now, happy with them.

The 18'' rims looks good on the E36, fills the arches nicely and no problem with the ride, smooth as can get.

What I've had on before.

May I ask where you managed to source those rims from?

They look nice on the car - this is just to give you an idea. No drop but the tyres were too wide and touched the fenders at the rear.

I take it you're referring to the darker rims, got them from "Wheeltech".

They're right at the bottom of Klipfontein Rd on that almost open pitch.

They have quite a wide range for the beemers.

Yes, mine.
Narrows and wides with slicks - 235 fronts and 265 rears. 265s were way too wide:=):
