E36 replacement keys

Hi

I'm looking for some help with my e36. When I bought the car, I got one remote key and the emergency key. I need to have the current key repaired and need a second key. The current key doesn't lock the car, currently locks via key. It also doesn't open the drivers door when unlocking, but opens other doors. I put in a new battery but no change.

The boot lock doesn't lock/open the doors at all.

Any help??

if the key works to open other doors but not the drivers side I would assume it might be your actuator and not the key.
I know theres a guy on gumtree selling a naked key for about R120 but you then need to have it cut and coded.

Thanks. All of the doors lock and unlock when opening with the key.
Does anyone do coding??

Builders Strubensvalley. They keep a decent range of vehicle keys and could possibly assist with the coding as well
