E36 Owners with thin door beadings

Hi Guys

Are the beadings on the sides of your car gloss black or is it matte black?

The reason I ask is:
My beadings are glossy, but, the beading that was replaced after my accident is matte black.

When I asked the bodyshop owner he insisted that they are matte and that mine are painted. I highly doubt mine are painted and as far as I remember my previous e36 had glossy beadings (and it was bought brand new in 93).

Please help settle this argument...

I have a 98 model, and it's matte black...actually now days it's matte grey lol :mmm:

Both ( F/L and pre F/L ) are matt black . I use a Shield Sheen x-treme spray for gloss look .

Thanks. If the bodyshop doesnt match it for me I will probably just respray them all with a matte spray paint.
