E36 Not switching off when headlights are still on...

Hi guys

I have got a 316i and have installed 2nd hand bought spotlights to the original harness. Also had to buy a relay for these as there was no relay plugged in.

Problem I am facing is that when I try to switch off the car (stop the engine) everything inside (radio etc.) goes off but the engine does not stop until the headlights (only turning off the spots does not stop the engine either) are switched off....

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Check that you have the correct relay and you have it wired correctly to the switch, a friend of mine had the exact problem and all he did was replace the relay and its perfect till now
