E36 master brake cylinder

Hi. How much does it cost to overhaul a master brake cylinder? Is it worth it or should it just be replaced with new one?

I priced an overhaul on my e30 master cylinder, if they dont have to repair or replace any parts, its about R590. A new one costs R1500.

E36 may be cheaper due to the year model...but dont expect half.
