So as you guys know The witch is still on life support and crutches.

Do have one question for you more engine savy okes.

What exactly is the function of the secondary throttle valve in the lower intake? The pin that holds the flap broke and that sent the screw into the motor now I want to know if it is worth the trouble of finding a new pin to replace the broken one or can I just leave it removed?

It's called DISA and it gives you low down torque from long intake runners, @ 4500rpm the flap opens to give you more volume for power to the rev limiter.

OK...so you have come down to the root cause of your engine problems, how much damages did a "little-ole" screw eventually do ?

Check my thread in my sig for updates and process. So far there is damage to the head, 2 pistons and suspect 2 bent valves.
