howzit, what was the tyre specs for the 2 door e36 M3?

235/40/17 on all 4 corners for the coupe.

However, standard rim size was 7.5 front and 8.5 rear. Some guys go wider at the rear, but BMW chose 235 tyres all round when this car left the factory ...

Later it was updated to 225 on the front and 245 on the rear, because the american's all killed themselves as the car didnt really understeer and just went into snap oversteer.
I run 235 front and 245 rear, probably going to 255 rear next.

shot gents, so im gonna go with 225/40 upfront and 245 rear but should the rear be 40 or 45?

225/45/17 Front - 235/40/17 Rear - BMW SA Spec 4 E36 //M3

I left the front but changed the Rear 2 245/40/17 for everyday and 255/40/17 for Race/Track days.

On my 4 door E36 i use 235/40/17 all round - is that a problem? I have the narrow&wide motorsport wheel...
