For future reference sake, this is what the Power Mods box looks like, I took a picture of one a Budler Motorsport. No wiring diagram or cd inside, just the ECU and wiring harness...:blueCry:

I also tackled the gauge pod install today.

So, the car goes for dyno tomorrow morning, the flat bed will be here @7am. Still cannot start the car, Kobus will have to sort that out, damn aftermarket ECU's, lol.
I bought replacement M3 brake ducts to replace the butchered ones. My original goal was to run a nice and wide intercooler and still have space to run OEM brake ducts. The boost pipes come very close to them so I heated them up with the heatgun and reshaped them where they were touching, I now have the clearance needed. Excuse the seriously dirty car pics, its going to have a real good wash when it comes back.

Previous owner's butchered brake ducts in place.

New replacement M3 brake ducts.

Butchered vs modified.

My modified ones give me the clearance needed.

Temporary mounting points to stop the fender linings blowing back against the front tyres, just until the new pork chops come.

Oh and the filter fits like a glove, some 5mm clearance from the radiator.

nice clean work on the brake ducts :)

Function and form, win!

Tow Truck was here at 6:55am. Followed it to kobus and now he needs to work his magic. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

and all it took was a little careful work with the heat gun rather than whipping out the hacksaw

Its the way the job was done last time with the smaller intercooler with different end tanks and boost pipe routing that caused them to cut the things to pieces. I chose a larger intercooler with 90degree outlets to wrap around the radiator giving me the shortest boost piping and routing and so I can use stock M3 brake ducts. Almost every e36 turbo conversion I've seen they remove the brake ducts and you see the boost pipes through the open brake duct holes, I think it looks crap. My way you get to keep the brake ducts because you need them and it still gives the car a somewhat OEM appearance.

Old boost pipe routing.

Old intercooler.

New intercooler.

Side by side.

Well done so far Gizmo, Its good to see the are mechs out there who actually go that extra mile to get a car right :praise:

Iirc the Powermods ecu doesnt come with a wiring diagram or software to tune, What iv heard was there were selected tuners that have had the training and have the maps/sw and customers had to use one of them
