On M3 the TPS (throttle position sensor) sits on the end of the throttle linkage shaft infront of motor. If it is causing issues it will throw a fault code.

Have car read as it will cause the symptons you described.

TPS or idle potentio meter. Buy a new 1.

ive found that my floor mat holds the accelerator lil down cs nw and then i experience dat bt the rev drops if i move bk the floor mat
