e36 m3 piston advice... possible turbo

so anyway after the car givin up on me, finally took it to d "local bm specialist.".... my head gasket was blown. so i took head got it pressure tested n skimed.. now mechanic says the pistons had play. so stripped engine n measured pistons n says they are no good. need to be replaced.:(... any of u guys cud tell me wat the cause of this cud be... i have 50hp dry shot nos into airbox and a chip from budler. every1 says nos is the cause....:-/ now looking at quotes for pistons compared to low compressions nt much diff... cud this be an opportunity for me to turbo?? :-/ wat do i need to turbo an m3.... i have a decent turbo, intercooler, dumpvalve, gotec system, 750hp injectors... i tink, oil fiter sandwich adapter n oil cooler. all from a conversion i wanted to do to my previous car...

It depends on the boost you want to run? I would say ACL bearings, you can use stock rods, Arp bolts everywhere, Garett GT35 turbo will spool really nice on a 6 cylinder, turbo manifold, intercooler, upgrade clutch depending on the condition of your current one and the power you want to make.Cp pistons with 8,5:1 Comp ratio, management system, and please check the head and make sure you don’t have any worn parts the last thing you want to do is drop a valve after going through all the effort building the car.

just make sure the turbo is correct for your application... I say go for it you have all the bits :)

just make sure the turbo is correct for your application... this is where most guys go wrong... bolt on a turbo and injectors for 1000hp when all they want is 400hp... then end up with a laggy car that eats fuel and wont idle properly...

+1. I'd say go for the turbo conversion.

I'm also planning on a turbo conversion for my m3 e36 what would the best place be to buy the pistons etc. Whats the boost limit if you leave the internals stock and only upgrade the bolts to arp with maybe a thicker metal head gasket?

i bought an Arias Piston Kit (S50B30) E36 M3 on the 28 January 2013 for my M3.

it cost me 15k.

and with the way the rand is going i would only imagine it would cost more.
i had other quotes for pistons, anywhere from 16k all the way to 28k.

just to give you some idea of costs.

Any idea what the stock internals can handle as far as boost with standard HG?

If i go wit garret gt35.. wat size injectors wil i need? I found dat my turbo i have is a garret gt25:-/:( and intercooler is from an audi a4 2.0t... cn dis inter cooler b used? I knw the turbo is too small. So ima try n sell or swap...
