E36 M3 - confirmation that slimline bootspoiler is aftermarket

Good day chaps....so i always assumed that the slimline boot spoiler found on e36 coupe //Ms were aftermarket but i am seeing so many with them on and even minters with minimal mileage with no mods & now im not sure.
Please confirm.

Definitely aftermarket. Slimline spoilers came in from the E46 generation cars. Many E36 owners added them on, later in their lives.

There were trunk spoilers for the E36, but not the slimline version.
