in your position what I would do is this:

Fit H&R front springs for now to sort out the gap and make the car look good
Save up for Koni STR.T fronts (your shocks will need replacing sooner or later anyway and STR.T are not that much more than a cheap replacement)
Fit Rear STR.T once front is sorted

after that if the balance of the car is good leave as is if the balance is out then look at getting H&R rear springs

Thanks. This sounds like a good plan.

I agree with moranor here. I have the combo he is referring to in my E36 318I and it rides like a dream. While they check your shocks also check your shock mounts at the same time so you know to perhaps budget for them in the future as well.

What do you think about the Eibach springs? I'm more for a comfortable ride instead of hard, sporty ride. Are we talking about H&R Sport Spring Ride & Drive coil springs?

I'm talking about the H&R Springs. They are really good. Sporty and comfortable. Eibach is also great springa but they ten to be a bit more pricy. Moranor just correct if I'm wrong.

I can vouch for the quality and ride comfort of the Eibach Pro-Sport springs, they are very similar to H&R in terms of quality and ride comfort.

Alrighty then. I have just ordered and payed for the 2 x H&R 40mm drop front coil springs. Thanks moranor for sorting it out.

Had them fitted today. 40mm drop H&R Front only. Looks much better.

Thanks moranor.

Waited about 6 weeks for the springs as maranor made a special order from H&R in Germany as I could not buy the set now and only needed fronts for the moment as you could see.

It was well worth the wait. Now to save up for all the rest.
