e36 heater valve: Rebuild Kit or New One from China?

Like the title says, I need a new heater valve. On ebay I see rebuild kits (with rubber seals, o-rings, plungers etc) cost around R350. Also on ebay I see whole Chinese heater valves for around R600.

The rebuild kits seem a bit expensive when you can get a new (albeit chinese) heater valve for just a bit more.

Anyone have experience with this?

Could I get my heater valve fixed locally?

I imported the kits from EBAY worked well . I have a spare one also not sure if it will fit your vehicle.

I got a brand new one at home, never fitted it. I am based in Pretoria R450

Do you have the whole heater valve unit?
