E36 headlights (low beams) not working

Hi Guys. I hope someone can help me with this issue.

My headlights (low beams) does not come on. All other lights works fine. I replaced the bulbs with new ones, checked the fuses (all fine), changed the relay, replaced the light switch in the dash. but the lights still doesn't come on. Any idea what else I should check? Its a 1995 E36 316I M43

Use a multimeter to test light to check if there is power getting to the bulbs. If yes then there is an earth issue. Start by cleaning the headlights casing

Update: So yesterday I'm on my way to get the lights tested with a multimeter. On my way there still no lights. Pull into my the driveway and noticed lights is on. So somewhere in the drive it started working again. Now I'm not sure where the problem was cause it works fine now. But for how long I don't know. There's definately something wrong cause for 7 days there were no lights and suddenly it was back. Bad connection somewhere possibly?

Possibly loose/faulty/corroded wire somwhere down the line from the fuse box
