E36 Fuel Gauge issue

Ok, so in the never-ending story of living with an E36, things break, this time my fuel gauge does not want to move past the region after half and three quarter (full).

I'm thinking the float in the tank, has anyone else had this problem?

You may find this of use http://www.frankies-bmw.com/3series/diy/fuel_sender/bmw_3series_fuel_sender.php Its an easy job to replace them but I've seen some shocking prices for a fuel sender new-you may get a working 2nd hand one :thumb:

@StK Thanks a mill. Will read through this I hope it is the fuel sender and not the coding on my cluster.
