E36 drive shaft replacement (bad workmanship)

I had work done to my E36 98 model about 2months ago costing me R16 000 which involved JSA Transmission in Cape Town. I have suspicion they did not replace a part and charged me for a new part.

I had the following done:
- gearbox replaced
- clutch replaced
- fly wheel
- dual mass
- coupling

The issue now being that the car is still shuddering at 50km/hour under high torque. If I am not mistaken but if the prop shaft was completely replaced that the center bearing support should be new? I gave in my old parts to them that were broken and I suspect they just 'fixed up' the old one and charged for a brand new one.

Correct me if I am wrong. But I have spent a lot of money and that shuddering is what lead to the cause of replacing all of these parts.

I suspect that the propshaft bolts were not torqued properly. If you push in your clutch at 50kph does the shudder stop or continue?

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Sounds like an unbalanced prop shaft (either not aligned to the original fitment splines when they did the centre bearing or they inadvertently removed a balancing plate), the centre bearing was not preloaded before tightening down or worse the gearbox output flange has play or is bent. Since you say it's during high torque situations, I would bet it's the centre bearing itself or it hasn't been preloaded before tightening down-in any event take it back and let them sort it out. Surely they must test the car properly before handing it back to you! Smh.

Propshaft problems are hard to fix. Most time it requires a new propshaft as the workshops is sa cannot balance them right.

Im thinking zeemax, but I called JSA. Told them ive spent so much money there already they should sort out the issue and i found its very poor workmanship if you give me the car back after I spent 16k at your shop with a horrid knocking sound.

!!!Update guys!!!

So when I took it in to JSA, they found that the coupling was terribly worn. Center bearing was fine. They are replacing the coupling free of charge. One ups to them.

Thanks guys.
