E36 Central Locking- Faulty

Hey Guys,

I just got a new E36 328i and it's perfect except for the back left door doesn't lock (or unlock for that matter) with the key or if I hit the driver side lock. The window still works so I don't think it's the entire loom. (although I don't know anything about how it works)

Is it a common problem with aging E36's with a cheap solution or is it something I'll have to live with for now?

I have same problem !!:=):Does your door lock work when you pull the button up ? If so the lock is ok , then you need to remove the door panel . You can check for voltage at the connector when someone operates the door locks . If there is voltage then the actuator needs attention . No voltage means wiring or control unit problem - Saturday job . good luck .

Ah, ok I see what you mean.. Looks like i'll have to source a multimeter.. Otherwise the door and lock work 100's.. good luck for your Saturday ;)
