hahaha I dont really have anymore info other than what I wrote in the first post. It's a really simple and straight forward process. This is the DIY guide that I used

I hope it helps, but feel free to ask more specific questions anytime!

I removed the Clutch Delay Valve (CDV), it causes your clutch to slip a bit when engaging and I don't like a slippy clutch  Here is some more info on it :=):

Wow! Ye certainly seems a worthy delete! What effect does the CDV have on the car in the real world? I think my clutch is going because it slips a fraction longer once my foot is completely off the clutch during hard driving. Also slips a bit longer if your hard on the gas in 2nd and only then release the clutch fully a split second later... Could this be the CDV just doing its normal thing?

Personally I think the CDV creates more wear on your clutch and is only really there to help people drive more 'smoothly', if you need assistance to do so. I'd say remove it and feel how it feels, if you don't like it just re-install it.

I also recall my clutch slipping as you explained before i removed my CDV, there is no such feeling after I removed it though - that's why I removed it

I would do it on any e36 I have, I see no plus point of having it on my car. :=):

Did you just remove the "CDV" and screw back the pipe into the slave cylinder?

Do you also have the clutch symptoms that I described earlier in this thread?

Yes, when you take out the cdv, the 2 pipes just screw into each other

Here is a pic of the modded silicone boot connected to the throttlebody(TB), idle control valve(ICV), and mass airflow meter(MAF), as you can see its really simple:

Here is a pic of the plug that was plugged into the actuator, now has a 10ohm resistor in and all taped up:

And here is a pic of what has been removed (old uneven rubber boot, ASC TB and attached actuator):

sorry for the dirtyness lol

Geez, well it certainly looks like the whole ASC unit is realy restrictive... Even with asc off and the TB fully open... Does it make a power difference, as aposed to just switching the asc off?

haha yeah it does look very restrictive, I would say the car feels more responsive, maybe gained 1kw but its not noticeable in the real world, what is very noticeable though is that when i change quickly into second gear the stupid ASC doesnt kick in anymore causing the engine to choke for a second and slowing me down a shitload.

Looks like those two deletes will work very nicely together!
Does that diff make a big difference in acceleration? And what suspension are you running? Hehe getting a little off topic here but I'm very curious when it comes to 328i mods:rollsmile:

haha yes exactly they work very well together! the diff made the biggest difference and i actually want to fit a even shorter ratio diff hehe

my suspension is a mess atm, i need new shocks and new springs but im considering a coilover kit. I recently replaced my lower control arms with Meyle HD arms and got some powerflex bushes from moranor which is absolutely lovely, my steering is really stiff and there is no play anymore, feels like a new car.. in the front at least :p
