E36 Aircon Question

Hey guys.

My friend drives an E36 318is.

Problem :

Aircon unit goes on/of (seems like a complete powercut to the unit).

Is this a common problem?

He recently bought another control unit, but same story.

This leads me to think that it might be a loose connection or something in the electrical system.

Has anyone delt with this problem?

Im in klerksdorp.

Is it the final stage resistor fix thing?

Its the climate control module. Needs a capacitor.
