E36 Aircon issue

Hi again, guys. My aircon doesn't want to blow cold. Seeing as summer is here, this is a problem. The car was in storage from Jan to May, aircon was weak after I started up again. I took the car for a service at Zeemax 2 months ago and they refilled, tested and ok the system. Worked for a while. Now the aircon is non existent. Compressor and fan engages when snowflake is pressed, but no cooling. Any ideas?

sounds like the seals have died from not being lubricated when the car stood for so long, now the refridgerant is escaping.

Thanks Don, read your write up as well. Don't think the seals are gone. I have done a lot of internet searching and no joy, only solutions to problems I don't have.

if the aircon worked for a bit after the regas, that leads me to believe that you are def losing refrigerant somewhere, and I very much doubt any of the connectors came lose by rhemselves, so the only plausible explanation is that the seals may just be dry and shrunk a little.

I dont know where zeemax get their regas done, but do you know if it was done properly with a lubricant included with the gas?

Take it to aircon specialist , they do pressure test and check for leaks .

My thought on the oil as well, Don. They do their own re-gas.
