e36 328i - Weird Sound.. HELP!

Does anyone know what is the cause of this sound? (after rev in video)
I replaced the viscous fan clutch (after market) and the sound is still there.:argh:

Would an OEM be any different? Or could it be anything else,
maybe a supercharger that im not aware of.

I also have that sound every now and then,mainly after i abuse the car a little.gna keep my eye on this thread!

Remove the visco and fan and then rev the motor - is the noise gone ?
This could also be due to water pump shaft wear / bearing wear .

Might be the PCV?? :dunno: cant watch the clip at work, but by what you describing it sounds like what my car did...
