Rtab = Rear trailing arm bushes ?

I see there is a tutorial on google on how to go about replacing them. Sounds like fun! Might be worth doing anyway even if its not the main cause.

They are R291.53 each from the stealers.

How many bushes are on the rear trailing arms.

The agents knew straight away what I was looking for but another spares place that I use had about 4 bushes listed for the rear of an E36 328i :thumbdo:

I got quoted on the same price for bushes but for 2 from the stealers, but I see on the diagram it shows 4 (2 per side)

Oh as for the labour to replace the bushes  R2464.00 excluding VAT

labour of R2464 ex vat................if that is any indication of how much of a bitch they are to fit this is going to be fun.

you will have to make or buy a bush puller/pusher for this... thats why they charge so much for fitting it... with the right stuff its not a long job...

That does not worry me too much, any idiot with basic workshop could make BMW`s "Special tools" for this job in about 10 minutes.

Where I have a challenge though is finding a Saturday where I am free for long enough to tackle this job but if it fixes this problem it will be so worth it!

Hello guys has someone got the special tools needed , if we could see them and get measurements and I could make a set at work , then we are organised . Should be cheaper to cover courier costs from and to lender than having to buy the tools .
