Ok, so managed to find the discs at GoldwagonWill get someone to do the slotting (I have read that drilling isn't really worth it).
Question now is, I know previous posts were made in this thread but can someone advise unequivocally what else is needed to finish the upgrade?
I assume the 330i Calipers are a MUST? Also, Jive mentioned the caliper brackets and brake disc dust cover?
R847 each for the discs. Not bad IMO and I know they're 100% solid. Haven't got a price for the pads I'd want as yet although they have the standard pads at GW for around R300/R400. I want to get something upgraded that will give me better performance for the track.How much did the discs cost at Goldwagen? Did you manage to get a price for the pads as well?![]()
The calliper bracket is part of the whole calliper set up, these are “floating callipers”
With regards to the brake disc dust cover, I’m gonna try to make the current ones to work.
I’d also like to know what exactly is needed to finish the conversion. Gonna be going through some YouTube videos...

Don't bother with dust covers. Those are only to protect the discs/pads from debris on the road and this won't be an issue on the track. Unless you drive it daily or frequently on the road. I used to drive mine to the track and back and sometimes to the shops with no issues.
Just a side note, if you are going for this setup might as well go for the brass guides as well. I fitted those and it improved pad life as you get more even wear on the pads. I used to get skewed pad wear which meant that you could still use the pads but a section is too worn to work properly. Also, when you slot the discs ask them to deburr it. The sharp edges tend to wear the pads out as well.

Where would we source something like that? Brake specialists ? Track specialists like Big Boss or SavSpeed ?
