father in law battle to get ppl to fix his car. you will not believe the sh*t he had the last 3 months.

to a point now where he wants to buy a 328 single vanos enjin and put it into his current body

where do I go. we are in gauteng - pta, jhb area.

Might be worthwhile to check out at japan auto, last I was there they had a bunch of x28i engines.

I would be pretty interested in acquiring one and learning the ins and outs while building a serious NA engine.

Last M52 motor I priced from Boston AUto Japtec went for....

R32,000...

I told the dude he was off of his peanut and that you can buy a complete car with that... he was like.. go buy it then...

Whats wrong with your car bud, spares are fairly cheap....

My build turned nasty as well, we discovered that the moron that engineered the valves cut the valve seat 1.5mm to deep, therefore the valves do not close...

Here in East London about R8k for pistons , R2k odd to resleeve block - maybe use old pistons . IIRC Leonard got pistons for like R300 odd . Len can you replace valve seats ? yes 24 will be a few rand ,but heads are scarce . Just say " I am looking for a bm head " and guy places order for his Lambo :roflol:

Nope, I am having the engineering shorten the valve stem, im not spending 10k on a frikken head..... Its only 1.5mm

And the dude has his lambo already, he deals in BMW parts.

He is trying to get the aston for his wife...

Give them a call, i actually wanted a 323i vanos motor but they didnt have stock they told me they have a fresh 328i Vanos motor in brilliant condition for, if i remember correctly for around R15K but definately not more than that.

This was about 3 months ago, try them im sure they can assist.
