My 318i is pretty much in the same condition as the pics, and I will be doing a full makeover as soon as the cash becomes available...

making my utmost best try to be there... the 318 is still very rough around the edges, and needs some decent restoring, but as soon as i'm financially able, i will be starting...

the 525i though, is a monster of a car, and is in pretty good nick, for a car with almost 300k on the clock...

Hey Nic_s, yeah those 525I tourings are just the coolest and they enjoy an almost cult-like following in the US. I've had mine for over 10 years, and man she still got legs at 240K!

Really? Red Drums?:mmm:

... so in the meanwhile, I'm taking the 18's off and fitting them to the 525i... not enough arch space, its rubbing on the inside of the wheelwell when I turn... will be replacing them with the wagon's 15's (195/65R15's) while I get the rest of the car sorted... posting pics of what she's like now... and things I need fixed/replaced...

The air intake pipe(between intake manifold and filter housing) needs to be replaced, and the electric windows aren't working, except for the driver's one, which also has issues...

Other than that, shes a dream to drive... even as low as she is... will post pics with the new(old) wheels soon...

@Laigo: It was a straight swap for a damaged Freelander that I had... Seeing as my dad paid 7K for the Landrover, and we spent about 17K fixing it before it was in another accident, I put it up for sale at 25K... The owner of the 318i gave me a call and proposed a swap as he needed a 4x4, and the 318i was his spare vehicle and was not in daily use. He wanted 28K for it, but since it was a straight swap, lets say 25k, with the 18" rims...
