Good day I am a new member and presently own a slightly beaten up 1990 M5 in Black, used to be the one that sat in the West rand with the hideous Orange stripes, I have done a lot of mechanical work on it and she is running OK and just got road worthied, just need to ask, any idea where I can get the following body parts, small sections of rear diffuser, it has a towbar so have been removed and lost and also rear boot spoiler missing.
Thank you. Graham

Hi and welcome.

With regards to your parts request, the boot spoiler is standard e34 issue.

Cant help you with the towhook cover strip unfortunately.

Let us have some pics of the car since you got it. What has been done to it?

Welcome to the forum. I wouldn't bother with the boot spoiler, my car came standard without it and personally I think it looks allot cleaner without it.

Thanks will organise some pics and post them ASAP, trust me I would not lie about buying that car !, but I did get it pretty cheap, bravery or stupidity ? that's a tricky one:blab:

Now Fully serviced, all fluids changed, gear change linkage fixed, new MAF fitted, new tyres, covered the stripes for now, all electrics done, but a few switches are still not operating, rear head rests etc, this weekend, looking at the mess that resides under the front bumper and attempting to fix one of the drivers seat motors, only lifting on one side, been using for work a couple of times a week, which is a daily 120km hike, runs Ok it seems, I think maybe a bit down on power, was thinking maybe crankshaft sensor perhaps

I love it though, wife doesn't :thumbdo:

I was told this, but have not tested it on my car yet, but....

The rear headrest adjustment only works when the seatbelts are fastened on the backseats.
