Hi Guys

I have found a set of M5 Turbine rims without the centre caps, I want to get the centre caps before I buy the rims, do you guys know of anyone selling? :fencelook: and how much should I bid for the rims without these caps?

DAMN YOU!

When you say centre cap? do you mean it has the actual outer turbine with the mounting hardware and fins at the back? Like this

If so im gonna be honest. The centre caps are going to be near on impossible to find on their own. Perhaps quote at BMW? Just for the centres. And factor that in your bargaining with the seller, the caps are plastic and i would imagine the cheapest component of the set up.

However if its the whole turbine. im sure you will have to Join the que . Im trying to find for my msystems as well and so are a few guys on the e30 forum.

Not sure what you mean, but the covers bolt on from the back. The center caps just clip in the center and all they really do is close up the wheel bolts. You can fit the covers as is... the center caps makes no difference to how they fit onto the wheel.

Just the centre caps are missing.

So I guess I wouldn't be able to put the turbines on without the caps?

Nope. You can run them exactly like the picture. The centre just clips in to cover the bolt holes and make it look pretty.

The main turbine part like in the picture is held in place by 5 allen skrews from the back of the bare rim. see the openings on the spokes in this picture.

There are also fins that go between the turbine part you need those to mount them properly.

If all you are missing is number 5 i would buy them! And get the caps at the dealers. I am jealous. You have the most expensive and main part of the system. The turbines are made out of magnesium by the way.

This is a hunch. But I have always suspected that the standard e34 rim centre cap may fit into the turbines.

Thanks for the heads up

I'll be viewing the wheels tomorrow

How did it go?

It didn't go well the seller decided to pull out on the last minute, don't know why..

I'm now considering A-Line scorpion rim, what do you think?

Hz...go babk and offer more money. The covers are Uber rare making the wheel worth a fair bit of cash. I will check the centre cap part number as they may well be inter-changable with the 'ordinary' centre cap from you 'bottom-feeder' e34's...........313622263522 Cheers

Do you guys know anyone with spares, I am willing to pay...

Do you know of any rear mags for sale or replicas - want to use on a 1M on rear with a set of Hoosier drag radials. These are 17" and the offsett work perfectly.
