I am all for OEM, but subtle mods won’t hurt.
Examples of these would be : Black headliner, tasteful wheels that still looks period of that era, viscous delete (replace with electric fan) OEM white indicators, aftermarket exhaust, replace rusted sunroof panel with moonroof.
As LZ said – Uber’s car car is a prime example of this

Choices choices choices.......

Alpina reps might work on this one and for some reason 17's look better than 18's.

+1 on all the above, but keep the originals in storage. When the day comes that you want to sell it will add value.

Alpina reps are available at under 4k a set, new. Thing is, they don't do a wide for the back.

Are you guys talking about these?

If so, I would avoid as they're made of cheese.

Most Alpina reps are atrocious - they lack the dish, and they don't look as well-made as the originals. I think The Wheelshop has the new style Alpina wheels, hopefully in smaller sizes than the 19s.

Modified, make it the baddest S.O.B but as LZ said OEM+. Show them new kids on the block what a real car is. IMO alpina reps really do not suit an e34. Pic 4 or 5 FTW. BTW what is the name of the wheel in the 5th pic? Where can I find them in CT?

I have heard that about the reps... all reps actually not just the Alpinas the alloy is not very strong.

Real Alpina's will make the car look nice and aggressive... well... I think so :)
