Ok, have a choise to fit the adjustable yellow Koni front shocks, or go the Bilstein B8 route.
Which one?

nikon or canon?

thought you were not considering the Koni?

I like the way the Koni Sports feel... they connect you with the road but also absorb bumps nicely

Bilstein tend to give you more feel but are not as smooth

both are great though it all depends on what you want...

Bilstein B8 R 6300 a pair

Have managed to trace a Sachs Distributor too,..........now that would be cool, to get the original Sachs shocks back....!

I put bilsteins on my 840 only because I could not get original shocks anywhere so went with the bilsteins and I'm seriously impressed, works extremely well with the heavy girl.

Ok, M5 Sachs and Boge shocks were never released by BMW for aftermarket production......dealer only!

The plot deepens.......there is a Sachs shock that fits, awaiting price!

No dude. Bilstein B6 or B4.

Best shocks on the planet for a bimmer. There is a reason Bilstein is OEM. The Germans are not stupid.

B8 are recommended by Bilstein for the e34 M5

the e34 B6 from the 540 will fit but the B8 were developed for the M5...

Ok, the decision is made, and all shocks are on from Germany, with excellent help from ZF locally, the German help desk and ACMC in Pretoria.

The car will be kitted out in Sachs MTechnik shocks all around.
