E34 M5 owners

I know this is just not going to sound right and can be misinterpreted, but I'll ask anyway.

This is for the E34 M5 (S38B36 engine)

Please can you guys measure your dipstics for me and let me know how long they are.

I think I have the wrong dipstick in mine, it's too short and I am overfilling the engine oil causing problems.

Yes we did, S38B36 is the M5 3.6 are you thinking of the S38B38 maybe? (We didnt get that - the 3.8L M5)

Yes we did, S38B36 is the M5 3.6 are you thinking of the S38B38 maybe? (We didnt get that - the 3.8L M5)

lol i have heard a short dipstick can limit the number of positions you able to do...

If it has a plastic moulding halfway on the stem it is definitely the wrong/short one
